Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

Hats off (no pun intended) to a fine display and great paint jobs.

Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

Thanks very much for your kind words. There are in fact lots of other pictures of the game -- it was a big game, at least by my standards, using a lot of figures on 6'x12' of terrain (stretching roughly from the edge of the Round Tops to Cemetery Hill and the edge of Gettysburg). But my computer skills are really basic (as are those of my fellow gamers), and I have to confess that I don't know what to do with the pictures I took. I sent about ten more of those photos to Strelets, but they understandably posted only the close-ups that best showed off their products. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

I suspect that you are underestimating your skills John!

You have, after all, created a user profile on this forum and sent your photos to Strelets. That's basically all you need to do to post to a forum or create a blog.

Should you wish to go the blog route, Google's blogger is simple to use and has templates to get you started. I appreciate that you may not wish to go that far though...

Donald, fellow antipodean and regular poster on this forum, puts photos of the marvellous games of the group he's part of on Benno's forum and the Hat forum. Here are a couple of examples:

Perhaps one of these will appeal?

Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

Donald has more recently been posting the pics to the postimages site (https://postimages.org/) and then linking the image on the forum. This site is free. Most of these sites allow you to press a button to copy the link to the photo to put into the forum post. This site is the same and I've just done that with an image and copied that into this post.

Just make sure it has the format that this forum expects. When you post a message on this forum it should show a link "bb code" that shows the format to display an image. Not hard. You can always try it and then post. If it doesn't work you can edit the post until you get it to post correctly.

Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

Thanks so much for these suggestions, James and Neilad. I'll give them a try.

Re: Gettysburg game: Pickett's charge

You can upload your pix to Imgur (or photobucket if you want to pay) and use their codes, too.
