I just received some of the new ACW sets and the only word to come to mind is AMAZING! In 60 years of collecting little plastic men these are perhaps some of the best I've seen.
All of the various period sets are well done.
In particular I appreciate the thickness of the rifles.They are not the skinny and bendy types.
The detail and work put into these fine sets is commendable.

Couldn't agree more. I just got mine as well, and I'm already started painting the new ACW troops for an upcoming Gettysburg game (pictures soon, I hope). They obviously fit perfectly with the earlier Strelets releases, and all the sets paint up beautifully. The Confederates in particular are wonderfully full of individual character (without being silly) and wonderfully irregular in their uniforms and kit (just like the period photos). While I'm mixing the newer Strelets figures with some older ones (both plastic and metal) from other manufacturers, the Strelets Confederates really put to shame all the previous efforts in this scale. Bravo!
