Re: Napoleonic Artillery for all nations

I would also like Strelets to produce Some Napoleonic artillery sets hopefully soon starting with the polish artillery there is a need also for some Prussian & Brunswick artillery.
I am sure that strelets could also do a better job than the 40 year old British horse artillery made by Airfix & maybe make the foot artillery at same time using the same cannons, also matching in style to the latest Brit infantry sets.
The cannons supplied in the two strelets Egyptian Napoleonic sets are of a pretty good standard in my opinion with PSR only really finding fault with the figures not the guns.:relieved:

Re: Napoleonic Artillery for all nations

No need for Polish artillery - they wore French uniforms - just paint them green.

I am no expert but surely the had different head gear from the French, anyway strelets Have already posted that they are going to produce a set of polish artillery in the near future so we will soon what the differences are.

Re: Napoleonic Artillery for all nations

I simply fully support and would prefer this than the standing poses boxes
To complément on British Art un Egypt , I like the variety of poses.
I sincerely believe that Strelets is going to surprise us.

Re: Napoleonic Artillery for all nations

Another great looking kit!

Is this the Canon de 105 mle 1913 Schneider or its Russian 107mm cousin?

It bears strong similarities with the gun you showed on Good Friday, so this is tricky to guess! Regards, Pa

Re: Napoleonic Artillery for all nations

Sad, still no sign of ACW heavy artillery which is badly missing...:sob:

Hi Strelets,

I have been enjoying the development of your Japanese guns and it encourages me to raise the issue of Napoleonic artillery once again. The release of the WW2 artillery and the fact that the multi part guns makes me believe that the simpler Napoleonic guns could be produced to a very high standard.

I also believe that with a set of unique figures rather than the same identical four figure crews on a sprue. The release of a new artillery box format would i believe be a great seller.

Not into that period but it would be a good idea to have some more accurate models. However, why not look at some different ones say British 18pdr siege pieces, howitzers etc rather than Napoleons daughters?

As for today's picture I will leave it to the artillery experts!
