Sorry, but it´s a strange idea which I don´t like. Generic guns doesn´t seems me to make sense for the Napoleonic period which had quite different guns and limbers. I wouldn´t buy generic guns.
Sorry if i was misunderstood i mean that a french artillery piece is quite a simple gun and also so is a british gun carriage,
my point was not that a generic gun be created just that in comparison with a modern gun carriage which have many more parts.
I am fully aware of the different types of gun carriage in the Napoleonic periods. I just hope that strelets might bring out artillery for more Napoleonic armies,
sorry if my post was confusing
I would also like Strelets to produce Some Napoleonic artillery sets hopefully soon starting with the polish artillery there is a need also for some Prussian & Brunswick artillery.
I am sure that strelets could also do a better job than the 40 year old British horse artillery made by Airfix & maybe make the foot artillery at same time using the same cannons, also matching in style to the latest Brit infantry sets.
The cannons supplied in the two strelets Egyptian Napoleonic sets are of a pretty good standard in my opinion with PSR only really finding fault with the figures not the guns.:relieved:
No need for Polish artillery - they wore French uniforms - just paint them green.
I simply fully support and would prefer this than the standing poses boxes
To complément on British Art un Egypt , I like the variety of poses.
I sincerely believe that Strelets is going to surprise us.
not quite Napoleonic, but artillery:
Have a nice week-end!
Another great looking kit!
Is this the Canon de 105 mle 1913 Schneider or its Russian 107mm cousin?
It bears strong similarities with the gun you showed on Good Friday, so this is tricky to guess! Regards, Pa
Sad, still no sign of ACW heavy artillery which is badly missing...:sob:
I am gutted when i saw a pic posted i thought you were going to make my day, ah well just need to console myself with all the wonderful Napoleonic figures coming out by yourself and others.
I will hopefully change your mind later in the year so santa all i want for xmas is....
