Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

A bit boring compared to the other original ideas but I would like to see Brunswick Artillery & Hanoverian infantry in peaked caps & also Prussian landwehr cavalry would complement nicely the recently announced infantry sets.:yum:

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

ACW firing lines seem like a capital idea.

Not to sound like a broken record but a Wild West set...or indeed set of sets would be nice.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

I'd really like to see the Crimean line infantry sets re-made to current standards and in marching format. Please.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Brunswick artillery and Prussian Landwehr cavalry are excellent ideas, you can add them to my list.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

More WW1 Serbs for 1914/15, early WW1 Austrian Cavalry, WW1 Bulgarian and Romanian Infantry.
WW2 : Tito´s Partisans, Chinese -multiple sets, Japanese cavalry, Vichy French
More Russian Civil War sets, Balkan wars sets.
Byzantines- Cavalry and Infantry for 5th-8th century

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

I'd like to see Seven Years' War American Rangers, Woodland Indians in Summer Garb ( The
Tecumseh set was great but geared toward cold weather), French-Canadian militia and British regulars and Highlanders.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

I would love to see a set of Napoleonic gun crews for all the major nations. A box of 40 unique gunners covering figures for each nation in action and at ease poses, This would allow us to have gun battery's that dont have the same 4 poses. We could even have a few pioneers and Artillery Commanders to show fortifications being established.

No need for guns in this set although a separate box of guns of different calibers and limbers would be fantastic

Allan

P.s I would also support firing line figures for the recent Napoleonic and acw releases

Yes, I'd like to see sets of 1/72 figurines about the French-Indian War, such as Hurons, Iroquois, Compagnies Franches de la Marine, Roger's Rangers,...

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Nice and interesting question...

I would like to wish ...

Medieval Civilians of the 13th or 14th century, traders, musicians, women or workers which are missing for dioramas

Napoleonic Russian Line Infantry without Kiever Tchako in summer uniforms
Napoleonic Hungarian Line Infantry
" Prussian Artillery - Horse or Foot - nobody took this theme which is so important for many Napoleonic battles, the old Haet set is odd
" Prussian Landwehr Cavalry (East Prussia...)
" Austrian Lancers - please dare new cavalry-sets!

Marlburians which would fit well to your nordic war range...

all the sets which JMA named already for the French-Indian War which will fit well to your set of indians

ACW Zouaves in your new fantastic figure-style
ACW Union Infantry in winter clothes

Russian Civil War sets like Makhno, tachanka etc.

New sets of Boers for the Boer Wars - the old ones are out , but many try to find still figures for this theme

Agree with you here, would also like to see medieval citizens in various occupations, we haven't seen that in 1/72 plastic. Lots of them are available in resin from Nikolai exclusive modeling but a tad expensive for most tastes. We could have an executioner, onlookers, beggars, thieves, tradesmen, weavers with their equipment, maybe ship builders, butchers and so on.

Also Strelets promised us US ACW in winter gear but nothing so far...

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Well, if we're dreaming;

MORE War of 1812! Especially US Regular Infantry, Cavalry & Artillery + Militia as well as some character figures like Gen Andy "By God" Jackson!

MORE Colonial Era (1700s to early 1800s) Native Americans!

& I'm still dreaming of;

ACW Union Iron Brigade
WW2 US Heavy Weapons (Winter, Summer & Early war)
WW2 US Artillery (Winter, Summer & Early war)
WW2 US Infantry & Paratroops in Winter Dress

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Oh & if I'm really dreaming hard;

US Colonial Era buckskin infantry for frontier & Alamo!

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Would also like to see the North American War line extended, especially for units not easily represented or converted from existing sets:

- US Dragoons ("light" dragoons who look like heavy dragoons!)
- Scott's Brigade
- Canadian Voltigeurs
- British Marines in trousers
- US Rifles
- US Regulars in pre-"tombstone" shako
- British 93rd Sutherland Highlanders in trews and forage cap
- Various unusual militia

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Napoleonic Ottomans, Indian Mutiny, Mexican Revolution, 1920s French Foreign Legion.......please!! :-)

Napoleonic Ottomans, another good call.

While we are waiting for Strelets to come back with some news, we can dream a bit...

...I saw some Franco-Prussian figures somewhere in the distance, there the wind blew from the east and there were Russo-Japanese ones fighting under the sun, then the thunder from the south came and there the 1912-13 Balkan Wars were going on... when I thought it's over, there the Early WWI ones began to whistle. Like if that wouldn't already be enough, the Maori War started there in New Zealand while in Florida the Seminole War was raging and the Russian Civil War hasn't said the last word. Oh, how many beautiful figures I saw... before I woke up.
civil war in Russia !!!

Makhno: cavalry, tachanki, infantry.
Colored regiments.
Revolutionary sailors.

Saxony, for the Great Northern War.

Well, the army of Poland in the 16-17 century.
There is already a lot of Hussars, but there are no Panzers, Cossacks and the Commonwealth.

Yes Saxony, but also Danes and Poles for Great Northern War, and I agree about Poland for 17th century, there are Cossacks but only Ukrainian by Orion.

IMHO

Polyakov can be done for the 17th century, from this you can make the beginning of the 18th century.

Poland and Lithuania - a very interesting subject, it is very poorly represented.
And this is a wild mix of the west and the east !!!

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Well, Russian Civil War as well all WW2 subjects but also
Chako War Bolivian and Paraguay armies 1932-34
Folklend War 1982 Argentinian forces
Arab armies of 60s-80s

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

I have nominated some very important missing pieces of the Napoleonic jigsaw, which I think would be very popular and would help expand some of the more poorly represented enemies of Napoleon.

1. Austrian Infantry Hungarian styled in Shakos

2. Russian Musketeers in 1809 Shako still used well into 1812

Yes to all these especially the Austrians in SAM format hopefully
hurry up Strelets because the company who cant be mentioned have got an Austrian set in their plans get in there first (He who hesitates is lost) & don't forget the Austrian grenadiers as well of course in SAM format.:grinning:

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

How about Indian sepoys for the Seven years War in India, plus suitable figures for native irregular troops. An area where plastic figures really work as large numbers are required.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

LRDG/SAS North Africa Arab head dress , poses fighting , observing/ road watch , casual. Africa korps Heavy weapons , Japanese artillery regimental guns and crew , Boer war range expanded and British infantry re done or set two. British artillery and Boer artillery /pom poms.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

RCW US Polar Bears
WW1 US 369th Infantry (Harlem Hellfighters)
WWI Bulgarians
WWI Partisans
WWI Portuguese

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

As a collector of the Waterloo campaign I'd like to see Prussian Horse Artillery, plus limbers and ammunition wagons, Netherlands Carabineers and Hussars suitable for Netherlands, British, KGL and Hanoverian Regiments.

Re: What's next... or what would you like to see next?

Some great suggestions so far. :grinning:

Although I really appreciate the enthusiasm for exotic subjects and topics, I think Strelets should concentrate on the usual cash cows (WWII, napoleonics, ancient romans) and their already established ranges for the moment.
If the wide spectrum of their current lines (WWII, WWI + RCW, Napoleonics & War of 1812, ACW and ancient Rome) proves continuously successful (which seems highly likely), Strelets could indeed broaden their range to other economically reasonable and exciting conflicts or periods.

Most customers know what happened to another (though qualitatively inferior) company that dispersed it capabilities too widely and delivered large quantities of immature & poor figures. :unamused:

So, quality over quantity please! :+1:
