Re: availabilty

Hello to a country man of Henk. Try Rupert on Drum and Flag home page (not the one on Evilbay) lots of stock and good prices and postal rates to Europe.

Re: availabilty

I would also highly recommend Rupert's Drum and Flag website, Rupert is great to deal with and I regularly place pre orders for all my Napoleonic figures with him. Prices are very reasonable. He is also on ebay but the prices are better on his drum and flag site due to eBay fees.

Re: availability

Back in the early 2000s my local model shop (one of 3)stocked Strelets.
Now in 2018 no model shops at all. That equals no paint, glue, scenic materials, weathering powders and so on so everything has to be pre planned and that sucks the enjoyment out of it for me. That is the issue of availability. From the very first Strelets figures I always stocked up using mail order but occasionally another box was required to make a variation or you know what. There is the golden triangle of London and the South East for mil mod meets but few away from there. Actually seeing real painted figures (in the plastic)is part of our hobby path to enlightenment and stores always used to have a glass case or two of stuff by disgraceful (but brilliant) local show offs (mebbe I wuzwun an' mebbe I wuzzent).
Living in the U bend of the UK in the S West (no snow but according to the news Jan 2018 we are "whited" out:snowman_without_snow: ) I always envied people in the Netherlands, Belgium etc hopping on the train to real browse and buy shops and a nice day out to boot. Not any more it seems.
Finally and topically
UK males will have vast amounts of time and disposable income after the April 2018 laws so there will never ever be a better time (since O.Cromwell) for hobbies. First Brexit and then this, people in non UK Europe must guffaw themselves to sleep every night just thinking of us.

Re: availabilty

Drum and Flag, Model hobbies, e models are all good for price, postage and service, Hannants are a little more expensive but usually have a much wider range and depth of stock, all post out side of the UK and postal charges are much the same for them all.

Re: availabilty

Hoi Pascal,
since you are located in the Netherlands, I would recommend some of the more familiar online shops in continental europe (carrying Strelets).

Linear A
https://www.linear-a.de
Sockelshop
https://www.dersockelshop.de
Kamar
http://kamar-zinnfiguren.de/index.php?language=en&gm_boosted_category=
Tracks & Troops
http://www.tracks-n-troops.eu/shop/index.php
... and many other polish, german, czech or ukrainian onlinestores.

Don't know where exactly in NL you live, but you're not without options. There are quite a few dutch onlineshops (Miniatuurwereld for example) and still some local stores accessible (in Maastricht e.g.).
Depending on your place of residence you could also visit one of the larger stores in the nearby neighbourhood (Antwerpen or Gent in Belgium, Bremen or Aachen in Germany e.g.).

British shops often charge comparatively high shipping costs from continental customers.

Good luck with your search! :+1:
