Hi all
Just got the 2 new released box of ww2 japanese.
Very nice figures indeed :grinning:
My only thought is the size of the apparently 25mm AA gun. It looks much more like a Type 93 13.2mm AA gun(Hotchkiss) to me.
The barrel lenght of a 25mm should be 1.5M (so approy 2.1cm), the barrel lenght of a 13.2mm is 1M (approx 1.4cm).
I measured the barrel lenght of the model and it is approx 1.5cm (measured starting from the magazine)
As far as i know the overall lenght of the 25mm shoul be 2.29M (approx 3.2cm) and for the 13.2mm 1.67M (approx 2.3cm)...the model is approx 2.1cm
So in conclusion I think I'm gonna use it as a 13.2mm AA gun....probably in the twin variation:grinning:
This is absolutely NOT a critic, coz the model is nice indeed.
Thank you Strelets for these beautiful figs and gun...
Essentially their both Hotchkiss weapons (13.2/25mm), I dont believe there was an actual AT version as such and my suspicion is that the gun modelled is a Chinese mod to a captured weapon... I would like to be proved wrong... the gun was capable of ground fire in its original mobile configuration hence the AA/AT gun designation...
The overall length for the gunbreech/barrel etc, should be 90.4"/229.6cm, there are drawings on the internet and a number of sites that give details...
