8th Army British Tank Crew...

I was really pleased to see the 8th Army Heavy Weapons figures... the miniatures look fantastic. Any chance Strelets could do a box of dismounted, British 'western desert' style tank crew? Not static poses, but tankers fighting on foot, taking cover after bailing out from their vehicle.

Are there any more British-themed boxes coming for the ww2 north african campaign?

Congrats Strelets for your recent choice of subjects!

Re: 8th Army British Tank Crew...

Agree, but there are no tank crews for the desert in 1/72 for either the allied or Axis forces, and no seated figures for either too.

Certainly would be a change from the usual Northern Europe SS panzer crews and tank riders that are churned out by other manufacturers. why just 8th Army - Burma's 17th Army as well needs tank crews and tank riders !

Re: 8th Army British Tank Crew...

I asked about Desert Theater tank riders back when the first sets were coming out & was told (Repeatedly!) that tanks were too hot for riders in N.Afrika so it was doubtful any soldiers would do it. Such is the mentality of the hobby.

Frankly I'm with the rest of you! These would be great additions!

Re: 8th Army British Tank Crew...

A careful choice of words on my part "seated figures" not tank riders , to be used is soft skins and just sat around etc......and of course could be sat on a tank
