Caesar Minis

I haven't seen anyone mention it, but was anyone else aware that Caesar dis a set of famous Generals? It's a mini set of just 7 figs in 7 poses. (including 1 horse) Most are WW2 except a mounted version of Julius Caesar (of course!) but the other include Patton, Ike, Monty & 2 versions of Manstein. (so they say tho IMO, at least 1 looks like Mussolini!) This is the 2nd such mini set they have issued, the other being 4 figures in 6 pieces of some old Chinese fable. (Go figure?)

I did discover this set, but none of the Famous Personalities really look like the real guys. And for the money not a good investment.

I did buy this YREKOL Set of Famous German Personalities. Great details, not too tall or large, nice color, mixes with all Caesar German sets nicely, goes with Caesars new German Command Set with Kubelwagen. You get 42 (3 sprews) same gray color as Caesar. Rare now and hard to find, but well worth the investment. Link to PSR:

Ykreol has done a set of German Commanders and French Commanders for WWII in addition to their generic commanders set.

The fable was the story of how the monk Tripitaka journied into the west, searching for enlightenment with three companions King Monkey, Pigsy and Sandy.

Shown on British TV as Monkey Magic it was also used as part of the background to the BeiJing Olympics.
