Re: Waterloo day

Ooooh what an excellent idea! We haven't seen anything Napoleonic for a very long time.

I'd love to see Strelets giving its treatment to:
- Swedish infantry
- Brunswick line and light infantry
- Dutch/Belgian Carabiniers for Waterloo (i.e. Belgians with crested helmet and Dutch with bicorn hat)
- Early and late Austrian line infantry and Chasseurs

I'm sure the guys here will add tons more....

Thanks!
Alex

Re: Waterloo day

They all sound good to me I'd like to see Hanovarian infantry, French imperial guard, British rifles, Bavarian infantry & Austrian grenadiers all in marching & attack modes. ......Steve H

Re: Waterloo day

All the above are good ideas, here is my list I made earlier

Presuming you are talking about sets of Infantry figures done in the same quality as the new British, Poles and Highlanders with that in mind these are my recommendations.

1. Austrian Infantry Hungarian styled in Shakos

2. Russian Musketeers in 1809 Shako still used well into 1812

3. Ottoman Infantry Nizam I Cedit

4. Belgium Infantry could be used as Portuguese Infantry

1-3 Have never been made before and 4 could do with some more figures.

Re: Waterloo day

Dear Steve H,

as requested, here's a figure for a would-be Waterloo set.

Strelets

Re: Waterloo day

Thanks Strelets for the picture but I'm not sure where he fits in for Waterloo. He is impressive alright but I'm clueless As to what army he could belong to he looks maybe Russian or a naval person or maybe he's part of a command set ?

Re: Waterloo day

Excellent - Waterloo troops in winter gear are filling a huge gap in the market.

What next - Waterloo frogmen?

Re: Waterloo day

Now I've thought about it this is a Streletsi isn't it you love teasing us don't you Strelets this is just a bonus figure nothing to do with Waterloo or Napoleonic sets after 'this deceitful behaviour you at least owe us a picture of some new napoleonic troops as penance.

Re: Waterloo day

As requested, Steve H.

Re: Waterloo day

Thanks Strelets I guess this fine looking fellow belongs to a forthcoming Highlanders standing at ease set & i presume there may also be a poles standing at ease set as well hopefully these sets may progress & include in ranks & firing lines as well.

Re: Waterloo day

Due to army cutbacks after Waterloo Wellington got a job as Santa In his local department store.

Not many people know that.
