Re: Pickets Charge 2 - masters

Yes, they do look nice, the Confederate figures seems a lot better than what we've seen from the Union side so far, this set seems to be Confederates advancing, hopefully set 1 will contain casualties, maybe some personalities, colorbearers, command etc.

Just hope they will be available to buy soon, I'm getting a bit worried..

Re: Pickets Charge 2 - masters

Very nice surprise!

What I do like is that many of the figures are wearing blanket rolls - makes them look very Confederate.

What I'd like to see more of with future Confederates are more figures with trousers tucked into their socks; a unique and I think cool look like sort of like a poor-man's gaitors.

Keep up the great work!

VERY GOOD ! Thank You STRELETS once more for providing us with so good figures !

Question to US civil war specialists :
In a ACW battle, could we have one line of Charging men (set #2) followed by one or 2 lines of marching men (set #1) ?
The officers will be provided with set #1 ?
As we have master for the very promising set #2, could we have the master for set #1 ?

Thanks again STRELETS !

Please let me know

Patrice

Dear Patrice,

Until the Strelets Team finds the time to update their online catalogue (Pickets Charge 1 and Gettysburg Union cavalry (those frightening ghost skeletons of Cavalry)), you have to go back 4 forum pages to last year to see some Teaser Pictures. Right click your mouse and save to your desktop. You can then enlarge the image and really see the nice details. Copy and paste into your browser:

P.S. Hah! Proofing the link I noticed this was Strelet's reply to you for your same request last November 2016. Seems like just yesterday. We shouldn't have to wait much longer, anyway - enjoy until their release. - GC

Re: Pickets Charge 2 - masters|#

Seems like the 1st set is just marching if going by the masters? And 2nd is advancing, surely they are appropriate for Pickett's Charge but I was expecting charging, rushing troops with flags and casualties, wounded and demoralized Confederates returning from the charge and personalities like Armistead and Garnett. Maybe climbing poses for the Emmitsburg road fence, soldiers surrendering.

There should also be a "Pickett's charge Union centre" with a mounted Hancock figure and an Alonzo Cushing figure firing last round, maybe some sections of the stone fence...

Dear Patrice,

I hope you don't think I was trying to be a "smart " in my response to you, nor was I trying to speak for Strelets. I was so impressed with Strelets answers to my questions and other's back then that I felt it was worth recommending taking the time to go through the threads from last November 2016. But then again, that was 1/2 a year ago. And as they say "things change!"

I hope Strelets will post an update for us and those who are new to the forum and unaware of the older posts.

Cheers & Happy Collecting
