Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
now that the pacific and far east front has enriched by your newest (and superb) figures, (early Americans, Japs, Indians etc) isn't the proper time for you to unveil a unique new set? Just imagine: Chindits, Burma's special forces, Wingate's asymmetric warfare army!!! I think it is a "must" and strelets has to carry it out...
Please do them as well as you did your first set for them, they had a casual look in the field, shirts unbuttoned, vest tops, it was very hot in Burma, a good reference is Chindits ,long range penetration by Michael Calvert who knows a thing or two about Chindits having commanded them after the death of Wingate. Weapons were a mix of British and American all three lee enfield type rifles, Brens, M1 Carbines and Thompsons, slouch hats not helmets, and they used mules extensively. Please please do them well.
This sounds like an excellent development. At last with Strelets and Haron we are getting so many WWII sets of much neglected warriors who deserve their place in our hobby. One set I would really hope for is BEF 1940 British, which I think is a reasonable request and would sell well. My other thought would probably not be as popular but I would love to see Dutch troops for 1940 as well.
Chidits would be awesome, right now the only small scale figures I have of these guys are the Warlord Games metal version in 28mm. These troops had a very colorful history and a very important impact on the war, so their representation in 1/72 plastic is long overdue!
