I've decided that I own too many soldiers to paint all of them in detail so I've started spray painting some of them (just to identify one army from another)however, I need a suggestion for mounting / preparing them first. So far , I have made a 2 sided loop of scotch tape for each figure then mounted on a piece of cardboard and it is too time consuming. I've been thinking of cutting pieces of contact paper instead, but I was wondering if the glue would be too strong / troublesome to detach the figure from. Suggestions please....

I had modest success using double-stick tape. Dabs of white glue are also good for tacking down figures temporarily. My favorite thing to use is the red wax that comes on Gouda cheese.
