Welcome to the Strelets Forum.
Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets.
If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
Back in April, you asked for feedback on which new range of figures Strelets should make next. There were a lot a great suggestions. I was wondering if you have decided yet?
thanks to the active contribution and lobbying of Arlin Tawzer, we've decided to expand early WWII in the Pacific.
Also we are going to prepare for 950th anniversary of Hastings. We had lots of requests for re-issues of Normans/Anglo-Saxons' range and that may be a good time to do that, along with introducing some new sets for this range.
Please be guided accordingly.
Very happy with the news, thanks Strelets. The return of the Hastings sets will bring light back to the Dark Ages.
Great news! I am looking forward to both ranges especially the WW2 early Pacific. I love the early US and Japanese para masters you have posted.
PS One day I hope you cover the Post WW2 era (especially the 1950s - 1980s) as this is still a huge gap and for the most part we already have all the tanks, jets, helicopters, etc in 1:72 (just no figures!!!!).
Exciting news about the WW2 sets. The masters shown up to now are very promising (if you get the weapons issues sorted which were discussed here).
Looking forward to see them - any British or Dutch on the horizon pretty please? Regards, Pa
Yes this is exciting news. perhaps we finally get British Indian Army for Burma/ Malaya/Singapore 1942.
Japanese Marines , Dutch in Indonesia, Filipino Army would also be great.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Do like the idea of going back to that Hastings period.
Remember that Hastings was the last of three battles fought in 1066. As well as Normans there needs to be a few Viking sets for Harald Sigurdsson armies at Fulford and Stamford Bridge in the same month. Certainly, its the case that the winners write the histories as the first two battles are now footnotes in history.
One can only speculate what whould have happened if William had landed first rather than the Norse army.
.... and colonial Vichy French for the South Africans for early Pacific campaigns please.
Your comment about expanding the ww2 Pacific war is very welcome.
Can you give us a little more information about your plans for what concerning the JAPANESE range? Are you going to produce artillery (field pieces with crew, when possible also the big calibers )?
In the pipeline there are also the SNLF ?
Thanks for a reply
