Another welcome addition the Hat set is quite good but these extra poses are nice.

Wow Really nice a lot of people have been begging for this set to be made me included, but what a sting in the tail 6 mounted figures for €20 = €3.33 per figure why can't they be made in the regular plastic, any Italian speakers wish to drop them an email info@waterloo1815.it

Doesn't matter because they will be all made in useless tan plastic!

Thanks for sharing Brian. I had intended to add both of these troop types to my collection to replace some outdated conversions from long ago.

Instead of collecting the older Hat figures I will happily add these from Waterloo. Am looking forward to puchasing and painting these. I am still amazed at the quantity of new sets being consistently produced. A bit different from my younger days....

I hope the ESCi/Italeri Scots Greys fit the dragoon horses as these look ok, and they need some decent mounts.

I also hope that W1815 do the Belgians in plastic eventually as they are very nice and will provide some useful remounts for the old carabineer figures.

Well, so far all that can be said is about the box art. As far as I am concerned I like the one showing the French lancers attacking the Scots Greys in the flank best. It's a scrap of comfort to me after the release of three jingoistic Waterloo vignettes in 28mm by the Perrys, two of which show the Brits prying eagle standards away from the French. That was a historical fact. So that's ok with me. The third, however, was really - well - a chicken vignette. Ponsonby with his staff. Well, as a counter balance and do to the French justice and honour their feats of arms as well, I would have expected to see Ponsonby pierced by a French lancer. That's what he is mostly remembered for and this event is the one that should have been remembered. But ok, the Perrys are British. We can't expect them to be fair and admit their own losses, can we?

I Will be buying the French Lancers and British dragoons, the Belgium cavalry are too expensive I really hope they make them in normal plastic anyone know if that's possible?

They should be pretty good, going on Waterloo1815's past efforts. Maybe a little big but beautifully sculpted.

The Belgian Carabiniers are particularly interesting, I have good sets from HaT for the other two but a bit of variety is always welcome.


But why are the Belgians 6 figures in resin? does Waterloo 1815 make other resin figures?

Waterloo 1815 have been prolific lately now they are showing Masters of French Infantry it looks to me that there are 6 Voltigeurs in action poses, 4 Fusiliers in Marching poses and 4 Command Figures (1 Mounted).

Very nice sculpting however I have spotted a couple of problems with these figures the Voltigeurs have thigh high gaiters which were fazed out by 1812 just as the new Bardin habit vest that they are wearing was being fazed in, a sharp knife could cut them to the correct below Knee height.

The Fusiliers Marching have their Muskets on there right shoulder instead of the left shoulder I hope they still have time to correct these errors.
