As I get older and my fingers start letting me down and even the glasses don't help close-to, I thought I might try to have a go at H G Wells' "Little Wars" which offers flexibility and you get to fire a toy (match stick) firing cannon.

I know it was originally, and still is with some people, aimed at 54mm and although you can find these toy cannons online, unless you are visualising it as one of the big guns of WW 1 they can be outsized. What I've done is set up, say, Strelets Russo-Turkish war artillery batteries but fire the larger cannon from behind these.

I am quite sure a few war games true bloods out there are now hyperventillating -sorry!

I just wondered whether anyone else has tried or uses the "Little Wars" method?
