Welcome to the Strelets Forum. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of 1/72 scale plastic figures, not simply Strelets. If you have any questions about our products then we will answer them here.
Strelets have provided some excellent sets and looking forward to more figures with character in the future. I would love to see some Portuguese Napoleonic Cazadores in Stovepipe shako as nobody does them in 1/72nd scale.
2. BL 60pdr Mk1 on Mk1 or Mk2 Carriage, and Limber
3. WW1 Serbian Infantry, early war (first few weeks)
but I'll be happy if the stuff I mention in the thread directly below this one gets released, ie Strelets WW1 guns, Master Box's MkII Female, and Roden's FWD Lorry and RR armoured car.
I think a good project for Strelets would be World War I Command Sets.
The Russian Command set could have Czar Nicholas and his son Alexi in Cossack
uniform reviewing the troops. The British set could have Sir John French,
Douglas Haig, and other senior officers (maybe a Highlander in a kilt with field glasses and a walking stick). The French could have Foch, Petain, Galleini. The Germans could have Hindenburg, Ludendorff, etc. There are
endless possibilities.
I'd also like to see Strelets re-release their Normans and Anglo-Saxons.
I would like to see Strelets team expand their sledge team sets with
Mounted French Line Chasseurs-a- Cheval in winter dress and Mounted Russian
Cossacks in winter dress. I'd also be happy with any additions to their
North American War of 1812 range.
WW1 Engineers/sappers/medical - wiring parties, stretcher parties, trench diggers, medical etc. The essential soldiers so often over looked. only three Vcs with bars and two of them were medics!
WWII BEF - we can't be left to rely on Zvezda Art of Tactics minisets!
I sent the same idea to Plastic Soldier company. I recieved a reply indicating that this is being seriously considered and keep looking this year.
Until recently 1939 - 1941 has been mainly ignored by the leading companies - especially the BEF, French. A few more different WW2 could only be welcomed.
A Vichy set(s) for the Middle East / North Africa would fill in a wide gap and would highlight the forgotten battles that took place between the Allies and the Vichy forces.
It was an excellent idea to produce the German police battalion but should also do a Soviet NKVD set.
civilians all eras, medical and wounded, pack animals, military police with say a motorbike and appropiate jeep for army, armies at rest as in ww1 ww2 and any others not done, naval forces any eras what else does anyone think?
