RTW Figures arrived and very pleased. they are nice figures for RTW again it is a pity to cut these figures up for another use.

First i trim down the sprue, cut rifles and bayonettes FREE off the frame but keep the soldiers base on the sprue .this allows my fingers and knife alot of room.I keep the figures on the sprue as it is easier to manouvre with a modelling knife eye protection advisable.

then i remove the small pack below the coat, mainly by right thigh of figure , i cut about half of it off small cuts "v" incision .tehn i slice the hoods off those with them on the back of the neck etc. and slowly smooth out surface making smaller slices t remove trace of hood.

thats all that was needed about 4 minutes poer sprue. i do not hink i will use the figures in the hoods up for ACW but will keep for RTW.

Of course the figures in coats can be eithe side.The artillerie also depending color of kepis you choose good luck.I hope by tomorrow 6pm to have some photo ready .

am sure there is plenty other options when you swap with boer hats etc etc .just getting started

be a few days before the RTW Russian Winter infanterie
and artillerie are ready have a fun week

i would be fun to make diodramas with SR Converted figures of all these Civil War cards/
i think it can be done.

topps acw antique card of general lee i buy for 70 dollar , i buy antique card of general grant only 5 dollar. and grant became president and lincoln card same set only 5 dollar

1/72 sr confederate command sets sold out , 1/72 sr union command sets available.

i would think retailers would like more confederate things with general lee represented.
