Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

On this cause I look with pity,
For such plight you have my sympathy,

Though I need not Austrian Honved,
I'll take the Strelets Arms range instead,

And if we two become many,
Perhaps anticipated sets we'll see.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

That's appalling, IIMSS.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was aiming for Chaucer and hit Hallmark.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

Chill December brings the sleet,
Blazing fire and Christmas treat*.

Goodwill to all, and New Year revelry,
But no sign of what posh people call Honved cevelry.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow.
Only one thing missing, though:
Strelets Honved; still no show.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

February brings the rain,
Thaws the frozen lake again.
What we're waiting for, of course, is
Honved troopers on their horses.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

The winter sun gives no relief
and freezing winds blow colder
across the hard and frozen ground
the honveds not a shower...

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

There's none so clever as a honved,
in this cold weather, they stay in bed.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

Although I searched the media
Even went on wikipedia -
It looked like the Honved
Were missing or dead,
Strelets R - any edia?

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

Listen, lads. Keep it seven-syllable trochaic, or just don't get involved. Okay?

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

My apologies sir, couldn't resist.

Sure you wouldn't like a bit of iamb?

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

March winds . . .

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

June brings tulips, lillies, roses,
Fills the children's hands with posies.
As we reach the midst of summer,
Still no Honved. What a bummer.

Re: Austro-Hungarian Honved.

All I'm saying is: It's July 2012.
