My husband appeared in a Johnny O'Keefe Drummers Special of Six O'clock Rock in 1961. I wonder if the footage of that episode is available, my husband now has Alzheimer's disease and I would like to be able to remind him of that programme. The band he played with was lead by Alan Gilbert. They were from Sydney, NSW and as far as I know, there were a few drummers from different bands playing on the same show.
It was before we met and I am relying on information from his parents(now deceased) and his friends from that era.

I have made enquiries with the ABC about archival footage but they have informed me that there is no record of that particular show.
Anyone out there who remembers?

As far as we know there are only 2 programs around and none of them feature what you mention.

The ABC did not tape much on those days, and recorded over shows they did.

I am sorry to say there are no other options open to you.

Maybe someone will remember his appearance and let us know here.
