I am a little older than you but I too wish that I could have seen JOK in his prime. I am sure that he was up there with Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde, etc. If you are interested in rock'n'roll then I will be happy to correspond. My favourites are Elvis, Ral Donner, Charlie Gracie, Terry Dene, Johnny Burnette, in fact any early singers from 50's.
Best wishes.
Peter.

I have few regrets after 54 years:not seeing Johnny live is right up there!!
Hi 'regret'.
I saw JOK live many times. I used to get all dressed up and sneak into clubs underage every chance I got.
He truly did have a stage presence that was magic. The croud would be 'thunderous' banging, stamping and shouting 'J.O.K.!' I usually had no voice the day after a concert!
They were happy times watching the king. Words cannot really describe the difference between seeing him on film, or his records compared with being with him live!
