SHOUT THE MUSICAL

I have just seen SHOUT. I was three rows from the front and the energy level from the stage was wonderful. Clear sound and big production. The show has everything from happiness, drag performers to sadness. I left on a real high and raving to everyone i know. I'm in my early thirties and am confused by how he actually passed away. I thought he was involved in a fatal car accident! ALL AUSSIES SHOULD SEE SHOUT. I payed 62 bucks and was worth every dollar. SYDNEY GET READY...... Allan.....

Re: SHOUT THE MUSICAL

Hello,

Johnny's passing was finally due to a massive heart attack, altho' not as cut and dried as that.

You might check out the new book 'The Wild One, the life and times of Johnny O'Keefe'. It presents the first true in-depth account of his life, career and passing over. A must buy!

It is shown on our 'Goodies Shop' at the Johnny O'Keefe site where it can also be puchased on line.

Re: SHOUT THE MUSICAL

I saw Shout too, in Sydney. I'm only 16 and the atmosphere was incredible. I was surrounded by people 3 and 4 times my age, my parents included, and I was amazed at the audience participation. Daivd Campbell has the same raw energy as O'Keefe had (I spose he gets that from Jimmy) and was fabulous. He brought the show alive. I was 2nd row in on the upper bit - the dress circle, of the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. It was unbelieveable. And as a result, I now do all my major pieces on him (I'm first year of college in the ACT) and others like Col Joye and I sing his songs everywhere, have all the CDs brought out on him and am trying to get a bloody record but they are damn near impossible to come by. I am hooked.
