Dinner Dance Awards - Saturday 25th November - put the date in your diary.

We're going somewhere new. Little more pricey but lots on offer, lovely hotel, pool and spa facilities, golf that can be booked for those that wish to play Sat/Sun. I thought we could do with a change.

I have reserved 20 hotel rooms B&B at the special negotiated rate of £105 (Double room) £95 (single). First come first served on this price. You can book directly with the hotel and quote Q11 / 'Clubmans' or let me know if you wish to reserve a room.

Tickets will be on sale at Thruxton, and the form will be linked onto the website shortly.

Tried to book withe Marriot.

Gave the booking code.
Chap did not have a clue what I was talking about.
He said it may not work because it is a Bank Holiday weekend.............

Admin offices hadn't processed the contract/payment yet.

Best give them a week or so to communicate to the folks answering the phones...

Rooms should become available for booking in a week or so, and if there is more interest than the 20 I have prebooked, it sounds optimistic at this stage that I should be able to negotiate on a few more.
