Here's the latest on Mike's horrendous Thruxton crash from Charlotte: "Xrays back ok, car destroyed but it did its job and saved him, another life gone, will speak to you soon, thanks for asking".
Latest news - midday Monday 6th: Mike is out of hospital, has been to see the remains of his car at Thruxton and wishes to thank all the HSCC and BARC people who were "absolutely fantastic" throughout his ordeal, especially with how they cared for Charlotte. Mike's description of his crash at Church corner leaves no doubt that he was incredibly lucky.
7th April: Charlotte called to say that after spending a night in pain from his leg, a hospital XRay confirms that he's broken it. Apparently the XRays taken after his crash were upper body only. Mike makes the point that if he'd not been in a well designed and protected spaceframe Clubmans chassis, he may have suffered much worse.
