Winston is bruised but ok following his crash at Silverstone. He was held in the car by a bolt on the exhaust which trapped his leg in the footwell. In some ways he was lucky because, having a Honda engine, the exhaust acted as a deformable structure. Perhaps those drivers without decent sidewall protection should consider the consequences of a substantial T bone such as Winston's?
