Sprint at Curborough May 31, July 11 or Sept 19. Feedback please
At the initiative of Jeremy Bouckley, fervent Clubmans supporter, the Shenstone & District Car Club invites Clubmans cars and drivers to a celebratory sprint event at Curborough as part of our 50th celebrations. We have three options and we would be very grateful for your feedback to be able to make a decision in the next ten days.
Option 1) "track day" for Clubmans exclusively, Saturday 11 July:
On Saturday 11th July we could rent for £650 the Paddock and Top Circuit to be able to run anyone with a normal Driver's Licence. This would then be a non-competitive fun event centred round a DIY BBQ and lots of important car chat. Racers from our BARC and HSCC series could bring their cars, wives, mechanics and hangers-on to have a go. To fund the fee we need ten people to commit to £65 for the day, knowing that the fee would go down if more people came, or we need a sponsor willing to put the £650 down. Licenced drivers with a Sprint logbook could stay on to compete with the Shenstone&DCC the day after, 12th July
Option 2) Compete with the Shenstone&DCC May 31 or Sept 19
In one of these cases eligible Clubmans drivers would get together and compete in a regular Shenstone event. Clubmans cars would be specially welcomed and we would put it on our celebratory calendar. September 19 clashes with BARC Clubmans at Snetterton, but those competitors are not expected to be the ones leading the charge to Curborough (prove me wrong!). Please name which date you prefer.
Please email me at marcus@bicknell.com or contact Mallock Sports to provide feedback, preferably by the end of this weekend Sunday 22 March. Thank you.
