As a result of a charity initiative in the office some while ago I entered the Kenilworth Half Marathon in a rush of blood to the brain.....
I have been training and have run the entire route (admittedly half on one day and the other half a week later....!!)but feel confident I can complete it.
I was inspired a while ago when I met some of the Race4Recovery team who participated in the Dakar Rally, so I will be raising money for Help for Heroes. If you'd like to encourage me you can by contributing here;

What is the date of your run? And what are you hoping to achieve (time, distance, professionals overtaken etc) on which to base a donation. Try Mikey Day and family because they have supported Help the Heroes quite actively. Keep us informed and good luck.
The run is the Kenilworth Half Marathon 1st Sept - two weeks today.
They have about 800 entries as it's a Midlands Championship round.
This will be my first ever event and at 62 years of age ..... !!
I ran the route in training yesterday in 2 hours, which was significantly better than my target......
