Delighted to find the site!

Wonder if anyone has an interest in William Tait, weaver, of Eckford, Roxburghshire, Scotland who married Ann Thomson of St Boswells (?) ca 1786. 4 of their children were John (joiner b. 1787), Thomas (my line, b. 1791), Ann b. 1802 and Elisabeth b. 1811.

My line has reduced down to my three children and I would like to trace other descendants. My grandfather's father and siblings stayed close to Eckford until they died out ca 1948 but by 1891 the last of the others, William Tait b. 1828 and his family of at least four boys, Thomas, Alexander, William and James R. had all apparently left the area.

Any help would be much appreciated.
