Hey, saw this great site and I have been looking for records of my ancestral line, all I know is that my grandfather, John Patterson Tait, from Glasgow, born in 1910 (?), migrated to Australia at the age of 19 or 20 (relatively young). He married a Dolcie May Butler and had three children, John Patterson Tait (1937), Donald Barry Tait (my dad, 1939) and Heather May Tait (1941-2003(?)). If anyone has any record or idea of my grandad's line, I think that his dad's name was William Tait - possibly from America and in the Navy. But any information would be so helpful, I'm at a loss. I'm also looking for a John P. Tait. I have it down as Paterson with one T, though. This John P. Tait that I am researching, would have married a Helen Borthwick around 1903 in Galashiels and had 2 daughters, Janet and Margeurite (spelling?). Have you found any info similar to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that my grandfather's name is Joh Patterson Tait...and I think that my great grandfather is William Tait...from America, but he marries a Scottish woman...but sorry once again, good luck.
