Can i use my gun in my rear garden?I have houses on both sides and a school at the rear which is always closed when im shooting cans.My neighbour is moaning as there are a couple of holes in his new fence which is all the way round his garden and no we didnt help with its install cost as it was £1800 and we couldn't afford to put to. If you want to have a look on google earth the postcode is m45 8wz its a corner house with a triangle garden , Next door has a white car in the rear garden..He says its illegal to shoot but its private and i think he's a moaning git.

law only says 15m from centre of the highway nothing about anything else or stray pellets also can i get done for criminal damage? does any one have a complete brief of the law on private property including distance as im now told its a quarter of a mile from any domestic residence ..Is this true ?

Look. It is very simple. It IS illegal for pellets to stray out of your property, and that 15m rule applies. Of course you can be done for ciminal damage- if you cause it! That quarter of a mile thing is complete rubbish.

If it is your land, you can shoot on it. End of.
