i would recomend, using a couple of crow decoys next to a dead rabbit with the offal hanging out, its worked for a number of times. also try them out next to a large compost heap. and also start buying air gunner(magazine), thats where i pic up a lot of advice. plus when decoying you need a good hide, with over head cover becase the birds wont land near you if you dont, you can get some great second hand camo nets from an army surplus store. hold it up with some poles, and add some extra natural foilage. sorry if this is dragging on. as winter is coming take a good hot drink. and finally a hand tip is to mark out your range with old ice cream sticks. good luck and i hope it helps.
