I have a HW80 that I've had for many years. I believe it to be at about 11ft/lb's from repair done about 4 yrs ago.
I want to make the rifle as effective as possible for killing brown rats. I shot one recently from about 15yds, but it wasn't killed instantly. Is this normal, is the rifle down on power?
Do I need more power from the rifle? What pellets would give the best results? Is a scope necessary/desireable?
Any advice much appreciated as we seem to have a few of the 'critters' around!
