I am finding it very hard to get any information on travelling with my air rifle. It fits (broken) into my suitcase and I wish to take it to Ireland on a Ryanair flight but have no idea whether it has to be declared, whether it is legal, whether a permit is required etc Can anybody advise me on this please?

The only thing I can think of is to give Ryanair a ring, they should give you a straight answer.
