And of we go...

The party has been quite well visited and seemed to be a success. But at the time for partying has past and the crew of the Tigershark-A were getting ready for their first cruise. Although they were only heading for starbase 15 to pick up some additional crew, everybody was quite excited.

“Docking clamps released sir,” the ops. Officer informed the captain.

“Mr. No-One, steer us clear from the starbase,” Lagerweij told the Lieutenant.

“Aye sir.”

“Set a course for Starbase 15, warp 6,” Commander Guthrdav added.

Carefully the ship cleared the starbase. As soon as the distance was big enough the helm officer accelerated the ship and in the typical bright flash the ship disappeared as it went to warp.

For two days the journey went on uneventful. It was a great time for the crew to get to know the ship and learn about its quirks. Lagerweij wandered through the decks, heading for engineering to see how O’Hare was getting on with his engines.

His daily morning walk was disrupted by his combadge.

“Bridge to Lagerweij.” It was the voice of Thirteen who currently had the bridge.

“Lagerweij here, go ahead Lieutenant.”

“Captain I think you better get to the bridge. We received a distress call….sort of.”

Within minutes Lagerweij was back on the bridge. Listening to what Thirteen had to say.

“The signal came from an archaeological party at Phil Virginis system. Apparently they have been raided soon after they made an important find.”

“Any casualties?” Lagerweij asked.

“Only a few minor injuries. I think they were more concerned with the theft of the artefacts.”

“Any clues who’s behind this?”

“No sir.”

Lagerweij thought quickly and made the decision. “Inform starbase 15 we are delayed and won’t make it on the expected date.”

“Mr. Thirteen set course for Phil Virginis, wherever that may be. Warp 9,” he ordered, “Contact Starfleet Command and inform them of our little detour.”

A few minutes later the intercom sounded over the ship. “All senior officers please report to the conference room in twenty minutes.”

The ops officer handed Lagerweij a PADD with some data on it he requested about the system and the dig. Apparently the Phil Virginis system was near the Typhon expanse somewhat outside Federation borders. It was a small binary star with three planets circling around it. On the third one, an O class planet, the archaeological party was located. It seemed they found remains of some advanced civilization, buried under the huge amounts of water commonly available on O class planets.

Seems interesting enough, Lagerweij thought as he headed for the conference room.

Time for a little action

Hearing the call for a senior staff meeting, Bucky stood and headed for the door. Leaving his office, he wandered what the meeting could be about, they were halfway through a routine shakedown cruise to Starbase 15.

Almost at the door of the department, a panel caught his eye. They had changed course, and were now headed for an obscure O class planet. Must be some kind of emergency going on he thought. He would soon find out anyway.

Half way to the bridge, Bucky was stopped in his tracks by a rather odd sound coming from a nearby panel. Sliding the panel out from the wall, he found a plasmadyne relay flashing all sorts of colours. He didn't have time to examine it now so it would just have to be replaced.

Calling for a replacement from engineering, he set to work removing it, but was interrupted when the ship was shaken, severely enough to through him backwards into the middle of the corridor. Picking himself up, he commed the bridge.

=/=Bucky to the bridge, report.=/=

=/=We're under attack Mr O'Hare, best get yourself up here quickly=/= came the voice of Guthrdav45-A.

=/=Aye sir, I'll be with you in a few minutes.=/=

Going back to the exposed section of circuitry, Bucky really had to get this relay out. Just as he was making some progress, the ship was shaken violently again. Holding on, the engineer didn't have time to react to a power surge, running along the gel-packs and into the faulty relay. The device exploded, throwing Bucky backwards across the corridor and into the wall on the other side. Unconscious, and with burns over his face and torso, Bucky slumped to the floor.

Re: Time for a little action

Guthrdav45-A had been sitting on the bridge while the Captain was doing his stuff. Guthrdav45-A was on the bridge when an unidentified ship attacked.

Guthrdav45-A ordered immediatly for thirteen to return fire and target their engines and weapons after the ship attacked the Tigershark. Over the comms, Guthrdav45-A recieved word from Bucky wondering what was going on. The Captain returned to the bridge.

"Report" he ordered.

"We are under attack from an unidentified alien vessel sir" Guthrdav45-A replied. "Taken damage throughout the ship. No major systems are offline"

"Target their weapons only." Mark replied.

"Aye sir" Thirteen replied and fired away. Just before Thirteen could get his torpedoes away, the alien vessel fired one last torepedo that shock the ship violently it disabled many systems throughout the ship.

"Report" Guthrdav45-A called looking at the Captain on the ground. No one replied. "Guthrdav45-A to sickbay. Medical Emergency" still no replied. The alien vessel was motionless only about 2000kms away.

-On the Alien Vessel-

Alien Captain: We need weapoons

Alien Tactical Officer: They wont be up for 3 hours sir.

Alien Captain: That gives us time to board and take them back.

-Back on the Tigershark-

Gutrhdav45-A checked the Tigershark systems. Most were offline. He went to restoring weapons and shields incase the Alien vessel would attack again. He realised the crew was in a dream like state and did not have the knowledge of how to wake them. However, he kept a console open to detrine if there was anything he could do.

-Dream World Tigershark-

"Sir, the alien vessel is retreating" Thirteen called out from Tactical. "Good work." Mark replied.

"Sir" Trust called from helm "Where is Commander Guthrdav45-A?"

"I am not sure. Computer, locate Commander Guthrdav45-A" Mark asked.

"Commander Guthrdav45-A is no longer aboard this vessel."

"Set a course for that Alien vessel. Maximum warp" Lagerweij ordered. Trust set in the course and started to chase after the vessel. "Sir, the vessel is no longer on sensor range. I am not picking up any warp trail. They seem to have dissapeared like the Commander sir." Trust said.

"Resume course to the planet. Maybe we can get some answers there" Mark ordered as the Dream-world Tigershark resumed its course, missing their Acting First Officer.
