I wonder if they are going to buy their crappy do not use appraiser list along with it.
I've been doing this for over 10 years, and they are the only lender I've been banned from. Many very good and competent appraisers that I know have been banned from Greenpoint as well.
I have a lender that trusts my judgement to the point, he chooses me over going to GreenPoint for a mortgage.
They sent me a review of an appraisal I signed off on in 2002 in Grant Park. It was a terrible review. Unfortunatley, reviewer always wins. I guess this kinda goes along with the thread about black lists.
My buddy is an attorney that represents CapOne on the auto lending side. He told me that they are increasingly becoming less consumer and vendor friendly. I have no idea but they are definitely "big box" and not worried about relationships.
