Just figured it out! JT thanks for the chuckle, but this is one (appraisal) serious business. Guess no one appraises up there!

You need a different form of MLS to appraise up there and have to go to the courthouse most of the time for square footage. Be carefull, a lot of the homes up there are leasehold from Georgia Power. Good luck!

If its on lake Burton or lake Rabun, there is not most to it, they are all GA Power leases.

If the Ga Power leases are the same as on lakes Jackson, Sinclair, and Oconee they have little effect on the selling price. Ga Power now has guaranteed long term renewable leases and "most" of the other properties have the 340 line between them and water.
