Loss of trees due to fire

About 250 trees were destroyed by fire located on a residential site in Cherokee County. Need an appraisal for loss of value to the site for insurance purposes - any suggestions as to locating an appraiser?

Re: Loss of trees due to fire

Who did their insurance company suggest? I live in Cher., and know the fire your talking about. Let me know if I can help. I do know some appraisers. I would check with the Forestry Service.

Has the property ever been cruised? I know nothing about appraising timber (if that's what these trees are), but I do know that there are timber specialists who cruise timber and are licensed to do so.

If it were timber then it was fructus industriales - (chattel - real).

It would not have been real property.

Re: Loss of trees due to fire

3 ways
land appraisal of timber land
land appraisal after clear cutting
and last personal property appraisal.

its easy to find payouts for lumber its a whole other ball game when you deal with tonage per acre, types of trees and weights.

Call Rusty (William R Lingerfelt)he will know how to do it. It will cost though. Hes not cheap. I know he does insurance work.
