Hi All..

I was doing site inspections this morning and was listening to Boortz..He had a caller talk about a mock terror attack drill on a High School in Burlington NJ...

Now are you ready, the mock terrorists were far right Christian Fundamentalists, who did not believe in the separation of Church and State...and...attacked the High School, because one of their daughters had been expelled for praying before a class..They then killed several students and held ten or more hostage in the media room...What a "DRILL"!!!

Now can you imagine if the "terrorists" had been portrayed as Muslims how much media attention this story would have had??? Or how about Illegal Immigrants or any other group???

I tell you I keep telling my grown children, they best take some real interest in the direction this Great Country of Our's is going....

Also, in case no one heard, the Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee are going to eliminate any mention of the phrase "war on global terror", from the budget documents in 2008...I believe Boortz has a link to this also....

I heard that too. Political correctness will be the death of this country unless something changes soon. Illegal immigration is what worries me the most. I don't know of any country that looks the other way when illegals enter THEIR country and I believe it will be the way the next terrorists enter the US and kill thousands. It will happen again because we are doing nothing to stop it. Every illegal that enters this country or over stays their visa is not looking for a better life. Some of them are looking to destroy our way of life.

Brian...I hate it but without immigration ther will be no one left to work as 40-50% of the population is over 50. I am aginst immigration but those are the facts. We are in bad shape because more are working longer and the younger generation X and Y, are the least trained at specialized skills. They have been barred from moving up as few have left to make room. They will be thrust into the fray in the coming decades and this country will also have a lot of empty homes, since the baby boomers will be gone. Heck of an outlook, right?

I think that bilingual appraisers will be much in demand in the future. We have a fabulous lady in our office who is bilingual. It is a real asset!

Prior to becoming an appraiser, I worked on an anti-terrorist team. You may not want to believe it, but our biggest threat is not from muslims. It is from people we called "home grown terrorist". Some of these guys were former soldiers.

Could the school system in Burlington not have just said...two bank robbers are on the loose, were chased fled to the school, then these bank robbers took the high school students hostage???

What was the point of making up a story about Christian Fundementalists???

As far as I can remember, I do not ever recall a Christian Group charging in to a school and shooting students and then taking them hostage??? How did this simulate a reality or possible situation???

That was my point, and we got off point on illegal immigration...

My real point is that all of us, especially the under 35 crowd, need to take a huge interest in the politics of Our Country...

It all comes down to a faction in this country that want to cram their agenda down our throats. You are made to feel guilty or inadequate for believing in old time values.

You are called a "homophobe" if you don't accept that lifestyle as "normal". I don't hold to bashing anyone as we all were given free will, but I am not a homophobe just because I don't accept a certain lifestyle! And, let me clarify, I do not "hate" anyone for their lifestyle but I don't want it crammed down my throat, or my children's throat, or my grandchildren's throat.

In the same vein, the secular progressives, most of the media included, want to make the Christians of this country feel guilty for their faith. It amazes me that parents cannot see how this type of action is influencing their children.

It is time for the majority, Christians and others of faith, in this country to stand up and stop allowing this small but very vocal sectar of this country to run rough shod over the rights of others!!

One of the things that has always made this country great has been the right to choose. But, the plain truth is, this country was founded on faith and it has made it a great country. Just because there are people out there that want to twist and rewrite history, it doesn't change the facts!

America is not perfect. We have made our share of mistakes but we are still the greatest and most prosperous county in the world. I will not hang my head or apologize for being American or a Christian.

My son served in the United States Navy from 2003 to 2007. I served in the United States Air Force from 1978 to 1984.

Two of my neighbors have served duty in Iraq. One of my very good appraiser friends severd a tour in Iraq...His Battalion was the one that found the mass graves in the South of Iraq of the Kuwaiti's who had been murdered and buried during the 1991 war.

I lost a good friend of mine that I went to High School with on September 11th in the World Trade Center. I then lost one of my childrens best high school friends (Marine, buried in Arlington) in Iraq. My father lost one brother in WWII and all four of them (God rest all of their souls, they are all gone now) served in both the Pacific and in Europe. One of my Uncles was at Iwo Jima, and one drove a landing craft on D-Day. I currently have one nephew who is still on active duty in the Navy and one that just went to boot camp for the Marines.

Now all of the above has nothing to do with my original post...But, please do not preach to me about sacrifice...

If we as a Nation do not really believe we are in a global war on terror, I would recommend looking at the video of September 11th over and over again.

We are locked in a struggle against an enemy who has sworn to not just defeat us, but, kill all of us and remove us from the planet.

To me that is a global war....To me, that is more important than social security...

By the way JT, please remember who was president when slavery was abolished...

This issue is not Republican or Democrat, this is an American Issue...do we choose survival, or will we just roll over and literally die...

I would really recommend all of us read the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights...to see where we stand today...

Last, I was a Military History major at the United States Air Force Academy, many years ago....

And the lesson to be learned, as history has shown us over the centuries, is that tyrants left unchecked, will simply become greater threats until they are destroyed.

Your post would lead many to believe that the Repugs can do no WRONG. That my friend is a joke.
As many still blindly still vote Republican. They no more have this country's interest at heart then the Democrats do. Never forget that.

We gave The Repugs 6 years of total control..and did any of YOUR issues get addressed? Abortion, Flat - sales tax, imigration, national - border security, prayer in schools, school vouchers, name it......

As is a fact, many who send our sons and daughters to DIE, have never served or will ever serve nor will there children or their childrens children EVER serve this country.

Lets correct a few minor issues, shall we? First up: Boortz is a Libertarian, not a repb. No g in the word.
The Flat tax is also not a republican item, but a libertarian one.
Mike made it quite clear that this was an American Issue, not one for repd/dems. A big part of our problems is the simple fact that we have so many people who are too blind and ignorant, on both sides of the aisle, that allow partisianship to dominate their attitudes, and are not Americans as much as they are either Dem's or Rep's.

The flat tax is not what the present proposal is called...it's the Fair Tax. While it was initiated by Republican John Linder, it is supported by many on both sides of the aisle. Read the book.

"War is a Racket" was one of the things that the liberal professors made us read way back in the 1960's, while they pushed their military/industrial agenda. The book was written by a guy who won his medals (he was a brave man, I'm sure) in the Spanish-American War, a trumped up war if there every was one. He died before WW2. He spent his last years doing speaking engagements to the American Communist Party and various socialist groups.

We have had several Christian terrorist attacks already in the US. One instance happened in Atlanta at the Olympics and several gay bars. There have also been several Christian terrorist attacks at abortion clinics in the US.

There is no difference between the Muslim or Christian terrorist groups. Thier aims and goals are the same.

I know you can not be serious...in regards to your last statement.

Please, I know you must realize that the fundamentalist, "jihad" Muslim terrorist groups can not be compared in any way to any type of Christian group. And last time I checked, I did not see any Christian groups stating that they wanted world domination...and the elimination of all "infidels"..

This battle, is truly all about our survival as a Country which believes in the rule of law, and the freedom of choice, which means we tolerate different religions..not that the rule of law is a religious sect, dictating to us...which religion we must belong to or be killed!!!

Our Great Country has been the "beacon of hope" for over 200 years now to many other nations, that have completely repressed their people. Now, if you look at Iran, which is governed by the Islamic religion, I would hope you would see a distinct difference in the levels of tolerance between their country and the United States of America. The Islamic terroists want a world of Iran's...that is their ultimate goal..

For some reason, I do not believe that there is a Christian Group on the face of the Earth, that has similar goals and uses violence on such an extreme level to achieve their goals.

We as a Nation today are truly a "microwave" society and want what we want when we want it. Unfortunately, the War we are now waging, can not be won in a month or a year or several years. This struggle will go on for what I believe to be the rest of my lifetime if not longer.

However, this is a War we have no choice but, to win if we want to continue as the United States of America. Appeasement, will not work...when you are dealing with an enemy that wants to eliminate you from the face of the earth..
