It's hard to say how much I learned from Pete Ober. Just a few: hard work, honesty, respect, dependability,self-less service, loyatly, integrity, and as much as my wife hates it stubborness.

He saw those things in you, Chad... though I don't know if he recognized stubbornness in you OR himself!

It's nice to know that others think of him daily, too. Today... and last night... I have been thinking of the day 8 years ago that he became a father. He embraced parenthood with love and a great sense of responsibility... something that Alicia continues as she did before and since Pete's death. I long so much for Madeline to grow up with a sense of who he daddy was. Fortunately, when I ask her if she remembers him, she responds with astonishment that I should even ask... and a look that questions the soundness of my mind!
