I urge members urgently to email the above, requesting that an alternative route for the railway at Fradley, by Woodend lock, be considered. C&ART and the IWA have proposed an alternative route which would pass to the south of the T & M canal and avoid the need for three permanent bridges and several temporary ones across the canal. This would be cheaper to construct and would help to preserve the historic Fradley junction area.
