We've had some modest success with the Natural Balance foods for Spikey. Sophie does fine with some of the other high-quality foods. Right now she is eating the Merrick, which allows interchange between the formulas (flavors).

We are just starting to have them share a Prairie Salmon and Rice formula. I have been trying to do more alternating, so that we don't have the same food every day, or every meal. I know that some experts recommend otherwise, but I eat a lot of different things, and I think my dogs would like it, too.

Prior to that, we tried the Merrick Country Trout formula, and Sophie loved it. I don't give Spikey anything with grains, except rice occasionally.

Let me know if you like any of the Natural Balance. I think that they have a nice Salmon, and you can also switch around to different flavors within the brand.

We feed Wellness. It's a little hard to find, but I really like the ingredients. If we ever change, we'll probably try Merrick. I like their ingredients as well.
