Re: Re: Banana Peel

Or wait until they eat their own poop in front of you

Re: Banana Peel

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. There's a little bit of fear in me that it might ball up and cause a blockage, but I guess there's that chance with a lot of things!

Re: Banana Peel

Oh Vicki, he's done a lot of poop eating in front of me. And he loves the kitty crunchies too! I don't think there is anything that would fill this kid up. None of my dogs have ever been this ravenous...and he's thin to boot.

Re: Re: Re: Banana Peel

Fortunately, as far as I know, they don't eat their own poop. . . . . certainly no indication of that considering the amount I have to shovel!!!

They're big on horse poop but only modestly enthusiastic about cow poop.

They didn't eat the bear poop we had a few months ago.

Abby likes orange peels once in a while. Never had a problem with banana peels though.

Re: Banana Peel

I've experienced the poop thing many times But the strangest thing was when Twinkie decided a tray of uncooked canned biscuits looked appealing....and ate them all. Then they expanded in her stomach. Looked like she had a full belly of puppies until they passed through.

Gotta love them!

Re: Banana Peel

Well, the vet says not to worry, just watch him. He might throw it up, he might have a little bit of diarrhea, or he might simply pass the thing normally.

He knew I wasn't happy. He slunk back to his crate with his tail between his legs. I didn't even have to scold him. He came out for his goodbye cookie though.

Re: Banana Peel

And this thing too shall pass...

Literally...

Best of luck...I had a friend who was on poop watch for a couple of days in order to collect a "borrowed" $100 bill.

Re: Re: Re: Banana Peel

I just can't be left out of such a wonderful topic. Miss Molly Maguire LOVED socks and shoes. Ordinarily she didn't chew or eat them. However, my ex father-in-law, having been firmly warned not to leave shoes or socks any place she could get them, laughed and did as he pleased. One sock disappeared-----it came back the next day. He declined the return...... I do believe that is the last time he didn't believe me when I told him "that isn't a good place for that". Gosh, I hadn't thought of that for years!

Diamond Lil (AKA Faith) pooped out my diamond stud earring!

Re: Banana Peel

Murphy is a confirmed sock eater - In fact I gave up wearing socks because of it...he also tends to pass bits of woobies and has (recently) developed a taste for fleece blankets - gnawing on them until they dissolve...Unfortuneatly I use fleece blankets to cover the couches so that the dogs don't get rawhide sludge on the cushions.

It's partially an attention seeking behavior because he only does it when I'm home and seems to be completely unrelated to how much mental or physical stimulation he's gotten on that particular day...

Re: Banana Peel

As a pup Honey ate a friends small silver hoop earring. My husband did poop patrol, found the earring, cleaned it and returned it! The friend declined the return as I suggested she might

Re: Banana Peel

So far, no sign of the banana peel coming out the other end, unless it's been fully digested.

But now the brother is getting into trouble. He's discovered that the "Worlds Best Cat Litter", which is made of corn, is quite tasty when peed on. Even though the litter box is contained in one of those carpeted enclosures, he can get his nose in there, pull the box over and munch away! Yuck!

With these bahaviors, their stockings might be a little light this year.....
