What a sad poem. It brought tears to my eyes. Here's wishing that there are less unwanted dogs and cats in shelters and rescues in 2008 and may every dog and cat find the love that they are so willing to share.

That is just heartbreaking but so true. No matter how badly they are treated, they hold hope in their heart. I wish the human race could learn that lesson. Thank you for sharing.
