Kim & Trooper-

You will be in my thoughts all week. I hope the surgery goes well, and I will be checking on Friday morning before I have to head out.

Regards,

PJ

Re: Re: Kim & Trooper

I'm sure everything will go well. Tucker had the same surgery last Friday, came home on Saturday, and by that afternoon, he was up enjoying a walk around the yard. Amazing, even right after surgery, he felt better than when he went in because the bone fragments (which the doctor described as feeling like "you had a rock in your shoe and every time you stepped down on it,it hurts)were gone.

We're lucky enough to live in Houston and have access to Gulf Coast Vet Clinic (referral clinic only with incredible specialists), so I felt very confident with their diagnosis and treatment). Every other vet we had taken him to diagnosed arthritis????

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. The biggest problem you'll probably have is Trooper wanting to do too much too soon, as our vet requires 2 weeks of only short leash-controlled outings.

P.S. IT IS expensive - 3500.00 - the husband made all kinds of remarks that we could buy one, two, three..........brand new healthy dogs for the price, but he paid the bill without cringing (too much).

Re: Re: Re: Kim & Trooper

Gosh, Laura, didn't realize Tucker had surgery! When I told Molly this morning that her boyfriend had an "owie", she wasn't jolly anymore! Sending Tucker golden thoughts that his recovery continues to be speedy! Oh, yes, and a slurpy kiss from you-know-who.

Thanks for the get well wishes from you 3 girls - Tucker's owie gets better by the day. Only problem now, is he's suffering from PTSS - post traumatic shaving syndrome. Not sure WHY they had to shave such large patches for such small incisions (laproscopy). It only took 1 stitch to close each incision, but we've got 3 4x4 squares of bare skin - a little embarassing for a boy that's usually so good looking.

Re: Kim & Trooper

Thanks everyone, I will keep you posted. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. The surgeon who saved his life when he was 10 days old will be doing the surgery, so I know GOD has placed him in very good hands. Still scared.
