Re: People Who Don't Pick Up After their Dogs

That's a pet peeve of mine as well! People who don't pick up after their pets make all of us pet owners look bad

It may not be a pleasant task, but its not that hard.

Re: Re: People Who Don't Pick Up After their Dogs

Former neighbors used to let their 2 dogs run at night--a lab and a small mixed breed.(Like all of us, they also had a fenced back yard) Of course, the dogs headed straight for our yard to make "deposits". I told the woman what the dogs were doing. Her response was to tell her 8 yr old son to come over and clean it up! My response was that she should keep her dogs confined to her property. Needless to say, the problems continued. I usually cleaned it up myself and disposed of the waste. However, occasionally, I'd get very upset and put the waste on her driveway where she couldn't miss it!

Sorry this got so long!

Marcy,

I had to laugh when I read this. My mom used to do the same thing, but with a bit of a twist. First, she started by taking pictures to show her neighbor. The response she received was similar to what you did - "let Ben know and he can come and clean it up." That worked for less than a week, then Ben was nowhere to be found... so, every morning she would go out in the front yard, scoop up the poo, and then place it strategically between their front door and their car door. It took about 2 weeks for them to get the hint.
