I have had one puppy, and she was a delightful little girl when she grew up. But I don't do puppies. I don't have the patience to housetrain them, teach them not to chew the furniture, etc. Besides, older dogs are harder to place, and I want to give an adult or senior dog a chance. No puppies for me.

I have had two puppies, Strauss (a Pekinese) & Montana was my first Golden. I don't see myself ever getting a puppy again even though they are so dang cute! I also have decided to adopt the seniors that need a new home. Crystal is my 3rd adoption :)

I agree with Ann. No patience for potty training, etc. Plus seniors have my heart.

I loved Jordan's puppyhood, she was by far the best puppy I ever had. Much of that had to do with her breeding and the year I took to raise her. I think all my dogs could have turned out that way if I had put in the time. I would like to think I haveone more pup in me, but the reality is I am getting old.I have been hurt badly (not her fault most of the time) and I am not sure how much more my old bones can take. I see myself back to rescuing seniors and special needs after J. I only know i can NOT live without a Golden in my life.
