Pics of Macie from Carol

Macie is so adorable. Carol and hubby are finding life with a puppy exciting, tiring and challenging. Macie had to spend a night at the vet after ingesting rocks, which thankfully passed through. Here is the note she sent with these photos:

I never realized how hard it is to get good pictures of a puppy.
She’s kept us really busy. If I could just stop her from trying to eat everything in sight. The crate training is definitely a work in progress.
She does good at night, will usually not make a sound till about 5. If I could just get her to sleep till 6, it would be heaven . She’s just about finished with her “bland” food that the vet prescribed for her upset tummy. And hopefully we can put that episode behind us. She gets into everything. She even tried to eat my wicker hamper. Now she’s off limits to pretty much most of the house, except living room and kitchen which are completely tiled. Everything that she can get into has been removed or put up. Like having a toddler all over again. I forgot how much work it is but I know it’s short lived. It’ll be over before we know it. I’m trying to enjoy her puppyhood but man, it’s hard !!!

She is absolutely adorable. Yes, I remember the last time we had puppies - 2 at once from the same litter, Rocky and Pebbles many years ago - I ended up getting shingles and blamed it on the stress and workload of those 2 pups. But, like you said, it is short-lived and soon enough you'll have a sweet well behaved little girl and fond memories of the crazy puppy days. Keep up the pictures. love to see them.

She is A D O R A B L E !!!!!!! Oh yes nothing like the puppy antics especially the "everything and anything" in the mouth. Lucy, my 1 1/2 year old ate 2 feet of her 6 foot leather leash when she was about 6 months. Left her alone in the family room for 10 minutes and BINGO a trip to the vet. All turned out fine thank goodness! This week is the 1st week we have put taken the toilet paper off of the counter and back on the holder. Puppies certainly are a lot of work but boy is every bit of it worth it.

Enjoy it...she is sure CUTE!!!

Re: Pics of Macie from Carol

Carol, if you put a light blanket over the crate at bedtime, perhaps Macie will sleep until 6. Only a thought.(maybe you do cover it at night.) Molly insisted her crate be covered even after she started sleeping on our bedroom floor nights & only used the crate for daytime naps.Just having a book on top sufficed;she just wanted something on top of it.

Macie is adorable! Sorry she had to stay at the vet's overnight and happy all turned out well (or came out well!) They are so quick to grab something! Thank goodness, the puppy days are short compared to a human toddler.

Adorable pictures! Macie is such a cutie!

Your post brings back memories of when Faith (who I nicknamed Taz for Tazmanian Devil) was a puppy. I kept telling her it was a good thing she was so cute!

Hang in there and enjoy the antics if you can - someday you will look back at them and smile.

Re: Pics of Macie from Carol

Macie has a high Cuteness Quotient (which is rather common in golden retriever puppies.) I love the photographs.

Oh look at those paws! Reminds me of my Roxie at that age. And Rox was a very very busy puppy to.
