The coldest winter in our area in 20 years . . . . average daytime high of minus 12.5 C for February but I couldn't remember when it got that high since I seemed to be out running in minus 18 to minus 25 C all the time.

Last Saturday it was minus 32 C with a windchill well into the minus 40's. A week later, today, it's plus 9 and melting like crazy. Chinook Arch.

Ruby in a cold breeze - about minus 25 C here. The fence is five feet high but drifting was such they could stand on all fours and look over the top.

Wonderful photos, both of scenery and the dynamic duo. Are you using a machine to create that large snow pile or good, old-fashioned sweat equity? Take heart, we just have to get through March and part of April and then you'll be hot when you're out there beating up your body!!!

So sorry you have had such a cold winter, we have too but we haven't had much snow (except for the one big blizzard in October). Of course we usually get those in the Spring, so it's not over yet. Supposed to be warm and sunny tomorrow though

So, the Great Melt is underway . . . . but there's a lot to melt. Flooding concerns.
