I do believe that since I retired she thinks my job is to be her doorman!

Except sometimes I still have to call her in because I think it's too cold out and I don't want her to freeze.

Cindy, your job description includes doorman, chauffeur, chef, beautician, exercise counselor, and professional smoocher. I'm sure there are other jobs in your overall duties

Yes, I'm sure she's happy to include all those duties!

They find the ways to let us know they love and appreciate us too though!

Oops -- that isn't a picture of Penny. When I came across the pic online, it just reminded me so much of Penny's silly behavior!

Of course, I do go outside with Penny -- because that is one of the things Goldens do best -- be our companions! I have to say though that Penny seems to mind the cold weather a lot less than I do!
