Message BoardThis Board has been provided for comment, discussion and debate about the erection of blue plaques to honour men and women of distinction in their fields who have a connection with the nine counties of the historic province of Ulster - whether they were born or worked here and whether their service was in the wider world. The Circle plans to increase the number of plaques erected over the next three years, starting in 2006, and would welcome suggestions, with documentary evidence, where possible, for potential candidates. The Circle wishes to reach out to schools, community groups and local historical societies seeking help in identifying people for consideration; in the process developing local awareness and understanding of heritage. We are grateful for the help we have always received from district councils and other groups and would want to build on these contacts. We would be pleased to receive your suggestions for eminent people from your area that you consider would be worthy of a plaque. Please use the forum for this purpose only.
